I’m excited to be showing 2 of my Floating Jars @t

I’m excited to be showing 2 of my Floating Jars @tinkergallery, Ilkley, West Yorkshire in a beautiful show called ‘Reflections’ These pieces are coil-built and smoke-fired and my intention is that some of the calm mindfulness of the making process is retained in the fired work, expressing notions of containment with a sense of weightlessness. Each piece I make is unique and quietly expresses itself, within the show complimenting the beautiful wall art. Places are still available on my Introduction to hand-building course @eskdalehub starting next Wednesday 3rd June and running for 6 weeks, come along and learn all about the very origins of ceramics and practice some ancient and more modern techniques. Run by the amazing Eskdalemuir Expressive Arts team and a steal at £140 for the 6 weeks 1-4pm at the Hub Eskdalemuir, for details follow the link in the bio 😊

The new studio is starting to take shape ready for @springfling open studios 23-25 May across Dumfries & Galloway, I’ll be open 10-5.30 each day with a wide selection of work including my studio sale, if you are local I’m on the Ayr Road just on edge of Moniaive, studio 96, Green route, 5 mins walk from the garages on Ayr street, or 10 mins walk from village car park 🌀😊 #springflingopenstudios

Come and see my new studio at Parkfield Cottage, Moniaive.
